- Open Up Your Vents:
RVs typically get very hot during the summer. It is not good for the applications of your RV to get intensely hot. To avoid causing any type of heat related damage, open up your windows and vents to let air come in. However, it is important to note that you need to shut everything if it starts raining outside to avoid water damage in your RV.
- Make Regular Inspections to Your Roof:
If there is a hole in your roof of your RV and water gets inside, the cost to fix the issue would be astronomical. The best way to avoid the problem is regularly checking your roof for any type of hole or damage. If you see any issues, you should repair the roof immediately. You should also apply sealant to the rooftop to prevent harmful water damage over time.
- Clean the RV’s Seals and Slides Outs:
Without cleaning your slide outs, you will have an excess of dirt build up around your seals. You should regularly lubricate your sliding mechanisms and around your seals to keep the rubber pliable. Failing to properly maintain your seals and slides out will result in sealing issues, and at worst allow for contaminants such as water to get inside your RV.
